About Us
HexComix is a Los Angeles-based comic book label. We are proud to be a 100% independent operation, changing the world through creative ideas and compelling characters. Nominees of the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity, HexComix is devoted to showcasing non-traditional voices and telling unique stories. Our premiere title, Hex11, is an ongoing sci-fi/fantasy series created and illustrated by Lisa K. Weber, written by Kelly Sue Milano, and produced/edited by Lynly Forrest. Meet the Ladies Hex:
Lisa K. Weber - Artist/Creative Director
Kelly Sue Milano - Head Writer/VP of Development
Kelly Sue is a writer, former actress, and modern oracle. She has contributed to the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times, HelloGiggles, Today I'm Brave, and LA Lady Magazine. She is a teacher and writer for Practical Mystics TV and is a staff writer for the Kabbalah Centre International. She studied acting at Fullerton College and television writing at UCLA, and also has over 30 years of experience as a human being. She is a sucker for Nabokov, Tim Burton's Batman, and fancy coffee. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her SO, their Ragdoll, Thomcat Yorke, and a whole tribe of plants.
Lynly Forrest - Producer/Editor
Lynly is the CEO of HexComix and of our lives. Her super powers include laying the groundwork, identifying synergies, and using her bias for action to stay in her genius zone. She has a degree in Theatre from the University of Texas, a background in cabaret singing, and worked in the field of technology for 15 years. Simply put, Lynly was born to produce. She leans-in, dives deep, and multi-tasks while never revealing what is under the kimono. She is a native Texan, a real go-getter, and lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their son, the ever hardcore, Valen.
